Goodbye 2010 - Hello 2011

2010 in Review

This year was quite the rollercoaster…..which just in case someone is listening….I really do NOT want a repeat in 2011….Thank You…..

Bright Spots

•   Finding a Fantastic job in July
•   Getting Maggie in April
•  Taking a trip in May to Evergreen to see Tanya
•   Spending a week in May with Shari & Scott in Yellowstone
•   Finishing my first ½ Marathon at the Happiest Place on Earth in September
•   John not having any issues from his Carotid Artery Surgery
•  A spur of the moment trip to the Grand Canyon
•   Going to a ton of D-Back Games (Thanks Karen)
•   Meet and Greet with Gonzo
•   Trip to Montezuma Castle
•   A brand new Acura TL
•   Realizing that getting “laid off” was one of the best things that happened to me cuz I would     have never left on my own!
•   Doing more cooking and really enjoying it
•   Paying off bills
•   Trip to Disneyland for Halloween

 

 

Not So Bright Spots

•   Losing Bubba
•   Losing Lola
•   Losing Lexie (our Lexus)
•   Finding out that some people who I thought were friends were far from it
•   Blisters
•   Losing an Uncle
•   Not being able to do our annual trip to Disneyland during Christmas
•  Not doing too much scrapbooking

 

So as 2010 winds down…..only a few more hours left I find myself setting some goals…mind you they are NOT resolutions but goals to accomplish in 2011.  I have teamed up with a few friends and we are going to dedicate ourselves to getting at least 8 scrapbook pages a month done – 2 pages a week…a goal that I think it doable.  Headed back to the gym – even though the marathon is over and I’m not biting at the bit to another one any time soon I still need to work-out – I find I’m a much happier person while doing this. 

I am still working on my word for 2011 – for the last two years it has been “believe” and as much as I hate to give this one up…..I do think that it has run its course and really worked as well!  I have a few running around in my brain but haven’t really landed on one quite yet. 

Enjoy – Play – Strive – Trust (having a hard time doing this in certain areas) – Overcome – Achieve –

Maybe I will just put them all into a hat and draw one out….they are all speaking to me but of course, I can’t really choose them all since I wouldn’t be able to do justice to any of them then.
