My Crazy Life

Didn't make it....

Well we didn't make it to the gym tonight....we are going tomorrow though so we will make it 4 days straight....not feeling guilty about it...not gonna beat myself about it....I spent some creative time....loving this painting class and can see me doing this long after - like decorating all the walls with a bunch of canvases...here is a picture of what one of my hands looked like when I was done.... playing in paint....woo hoo!!!!  I asked John the other day if I could paint the dining room table...you know it is just kinda white washed white...I got one of those looks - guess that means no.  Guess he isn't into the creative process going onto the furniture.

I think that this will be one of my pictures for the 365 days...a picture a day about something or someone...haven't decided if it will focus completely on being a self-portrait or if I will do a combination of photos.

Still Truckin'

Well it is now Wednesday and we haven't missed a day at the gym.....feels good and I am working on it feeling a lot better the more I go and make sure that I keep it in my daily life forever...way too many benefits to working out than there are to not and it is just an hour or so depending on what we are working on.  Mixed it up quite a bit today from the routine the last few days but that is good because you can't let your body get use to one thing....need to kick up the cardio but that will come.

I have a new photo album up with my LOAD class photos in it...Lay Out A Day....getting kinda tough to get these done during the week but I think I will spend some time this weekend working on getting some lay-outs done for the next week so I don't have to worry about it.  Went to Michael's tonight and bought more paint....the colors are just delish....can't wait to break them open and start slapping it down on anything that I can find....Pam picked me up some canvases at Dollar Tree tonight so I may be just getting messy tomorrow night.  I'm taking Emily Falconbridge's class on BPS (Big Picture Scrapbooking) and I am also going to follow her art challenge word of the day on her blog....she is just so awesome and she actually commented on a couple of the paint pieces that I have uploaded to the class site - which totally ROCKS!!!!  Tim Holtz is also putting up a project a month and I hope to keep up with that as well....loved the tags that he did for Chrismtas and tried a couple of those last week...need to work on a couple techniques with them but WOW and I can't believe that I actually get to take a class with him in 9 months.....yeah Creative Escape 08 is just 9 months away - actually a little less than that....and Scrap Etc is less than 100 days away...incredible that April 16th is less than 100 days from now....where does the time go....and it will be here before we know it....I have a bunch of homework that I need to finish for that before we go to and figure out how to pack scrapbooking tools to take on a airplane...that should be fun...LOL - speaking of that one of our bags got searched on our way back from Florida....I think they were trying to figure out what my tripod was....it must have looked like pieces of a gun or something....LOL - nope just a obsessed photographer....

Well hope everything is going well for everyone and your new Year has started out just like you wanted it....

Day #3, #4 & #5

Day 3 was Friday and I did make it to the gym...so that means that last week I made it there 3 times which works for me since Monday and Tuesday of last week didn't count.  So next week we have 5 days and I will make it to the gym at least 4 times.  Eating hasn't been too much of a problem but we need to get more food in the house that is munchable....so we aren't grabbing at stuff that isn't good for us....veggies, cut up fruit and that sort of thing.

Spent all day Saturday doing the "Got Paint" class....what a great freeing inspiring class....wow way too much fun - I could have played with paint all night long but alas we needed to go get some food so we headed to Friday's....I ordered chicken...I know those of you who know what food I really like are sitting there right now going "You ordered chicken"....yea I did - another part of that healthy eating thing...I thought about the salmon but you know I just need to be in the mood for that and it wasn't happening....salmon for me isn't like shrimp....I can eat shrimp anytime you put it in front of me - I love it about any way that you can fix it....not really big on the fried stuff but any other way.

Sunday....well just been lounging around most of it....I did print out a couple pictures so I could do the LOAD challenge today plus I want to try one of the techniques that Heidi had on her 30 Days/30 Ideas sheet so that is drying right now - just have to add a couple pieces of ribbon, some embellishments and done.....really easy.....

Day #2

Well the eating thing didn't go as well today....didn't get out of the office to get anything for lunch but I did get into the refrigerator at work and found I had a can of mandarin oranges so that was lunch instead of just not eating or eating the whole bag of M & M's that I have in my drawer...okay don't judge that...they have been there since before Thanksgiving....not to shabby but of course anyone who knows me knows that chocolate is not my problem....salt....chips....yep that is my problem so I just need to stay away from that stuff. 

Didn't have that great of a night last night and thought I was coming down with a cold or something when I woke up this morning....well I drug myself out of bed and into the shower because I needed to be at work...popped a couple of Echineca and by about noon I wasn't feeling too bad...so get home and head to the gym...okay feeling pretty good...have attacked the place now twice in a row....it takes 21 days to create a habit so only 19 times left and the gym will just be something that will be built into my life......like breathing....even pulled off 10 minutes on the elliptical machine...which isn't too bad since I haven't been on the thing since before Thanksgiving...will work up to doing 30 minutes at least.

So my "Got Paint" class started today and am planning on playing with a bunch of paint this weekend...looks like a lot of fun and paint is just awesome on a scrapbook page or on a wall....maybe I will post my art journal when I finish it this weekend...

Day #1

Well I have started....eating better and working out...I am going to get the "FAT" off or die trying....so I did the Subway thing today....ham and turkey breast - no cheese....6" wheat which is not my favorite bread but they keep saying that wheat is better for you so we will wait and see...then John and I went to the gym...he had already gone so basically he just tortured me....I think he is going for me to have arms like his....damn I just have no upper body strength....now if it is up to my legs to do the work NO PROBLEM I could pull a plow as he puts it but my arms just don't like to co-operate and he worked the crap out of them...you know until it feels like your muscles have been replaced with rubber and liquid rubber at that....hopefully I will be able to type tomorrow night....for another update.  My goal is 50 lbs by August 1st.....so only 211 days left.........30 wks......about a pound a week which is doable....

Found out last night on Biggest Loser that the more water you drink the faster your metabolism gets....I better figure out a way to just pump it in intervenously.....because I don't really think I was born with a metabolism so to get it to just average - yep intervenously will work....I won't have a problem dragging a 5 gallon jug around behind me.....so who is going to join me on this venture....anybody....anybody at all..I know it is like the #1 resolution but this is not a resolution I am making this my goal.  Well better stop typing and get to work....gotta get busy on my LOAD - layout a day....
